🚨 SECURITY ALERT: The “New Year Greeting” Trap

The Threat: As we celebrate 2026, scammers are flooding Telegram and WhatsApp with malicious “Greeting Cards” and “2026 Bonus” links.

Two Attack Vectors Active Today:

  • The “Greeting” Malware: You receive a link (e.g., happy-new-year-2026[.]com) from a friend or unknown contact.

What happens: Clicking it prompts an “update” or “plugin” download to view the animation.

The Result: It installs background spyware (APK) that steals your OTPs and reads your screen (targeting your banking and crypto apps).

  1. The “2026 Kickoff” Airdrop: Fake announcements claiming: “Claim your 2026 Governance Token Allocation!”

The Trap: It asks you to “Sign” a transaction to verify ownership.

The Reality: You are signing a Permit2 signature that drains your USDT/USDC instantly.

🛡️ ShieldGuard Guidelines:

  • Zero-Click Policy: Do not open “greeting links” from unknown numbers. If a friend sends one, ask them “Is this real?” before clicking.
  • No “Surprise” Airdrops: Real projects do not ask for a “Signature” to receive free tokens. If you have to sign, it’s a scam.
  • Isolate Your Wallet: Never use your main “Vault” wallet to interact with festive mints or low-value NFTs.

Stay Shielded. 2026 is for Gains, not Drains. 🛡️
